I miss the early times of photographing my kids, when they gave me a natural look. Now, even my 2 1/2 year olds love to mug for the camera. I often have to take 2 shots, "ok silly kids, now lets do a real smile". Either way, I love them, and love that they aren't running when the camera comes out.... yet!
Here's my beautiful Zoey's eyes, can you find me in them?

Cassie and Nick

Oh to be young, beautiful, and in love....  I had the enormous pleasure of meeting this great couple and lovely family while shooting their wedding at home.  Cassie, amazing beauty!  She gets ready in a blue strapless party dress, love it!  Both of you were a joy to work with.  Up for just about anything, and extremely natural in front of the camera.

Bright and Vivid in the Skagit Valley

Yes, living here in the Skagit Valley has it's perks.  Every year we do the annual tulip shoot with the kids.  And every year I think it will be easier.  The kids are another year older, they know the drill etc.  when low and behold it's just another memory for the books.  We got so lucky on this day.  The only day of the week it was not raining, and just before all 3 of my lovely children dove into those surrounding puddles :)  Oh how boring life would be without mud!

Nature...

Finally it's spring here in the Pacific Northwest, or so we think.  Getting outside on spring evenings is a family favorite.  So we have to take advantage of any opportunity we get to play outside in the sun.  Living in an area with some space for the kids to run and explore is pretty cool too.    Here's Walker, enjoying nature...

Yellow

Zoey, and her favorite thing to do which is dress up and dance.   A close second to running around naked outside and dancing.   It's a perfect memory in yellow.

Faith

This is Faith.  She came with this name, and became my mom's new puppy two days after her sweet Lila was struck by a car and killed.  This photo was taken on her second day at casa grandma.  Seems she's most comfortable on mom's shoes.

Funny, how they so quickly become important parts of our lives.  And vice versa.
